Disney on Ice Presents Dare to Dream

My granddaughter and nieces are so excited! Disney on Ice’s Dare to Dream is coming to the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati! And Raising2Tweens is about to make another family’s dreams come true with four free tickets to the show! Giveaway details below.

Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream is bringing Disney’s princess stories and most beloved fairy tales to the ice in a sensational live production coming to your hometown!  The show, featuring scenes from Tangled, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, and The Princess and the Frog, visits Cincinnati from October 27-30 for seven performances at U.S. Bank Arena.  Tickets are on sale now.

Mickey and Minnie will share the heroic stories of four of your favorite Disney Princesses. Families will laugh along as the heroic princesses tell their stories on ice. Nothing can stop a princess from a courageous adventure when Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream skates into to your hometown.

Tickets for Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream start at $17.00 and are available at the U.S. Bank Arena Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Cincinnati Ballet’s Alice (in wonderland) Ticket Giveaway

It’s always tea time in wonderland. Everyone is invited to tea with Alice in wonderland! When guests reach the bottom of the rabbit hole, they should promptly follow the White Rabbit (he’s got a very important date). He will escort them to the tea party, where they will be greeted by various guests. Don’t feel obliged to answer the Mad Hatter when he asks why a raven is like a writing desk (unless you know the answer). Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are sure to fly by and the Cheshire Cat is slated to make an appearance, but you never know when he’ll disappear. Guests do not want to offend the Red Queen or they might end up losing their heads!

The Day Before Christmas Giveaway

There is a flurry of activity at the North Pole. Santa and Mrs. Claus, the elves, the reindeer, the forest animals and even the toys themselves prepare for the biggest night of the year! It takes a lot of planning and hard work to get a sleigh off the ground and deliver toys to children around the world, but Santa’s team is ready and willing. Or at least they think they are before a tricky Jack Frost decides to try to stop the Christmas Festivities with a little comical chaos and calamity.

This story: The Day Before Christmas by Ken Jones will come to life at The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati at the Taft Theatre on December 6, 7, 8 and 14. The play is recommended for ages 4 and up and runs about 55 minutes. Ticket prices range from $11-$30. But I have a voucher for four tickets to giveaway to one lucky winner!

The tragically evocative love story of mistaken identity and retribution, Swan Lake, returns to Cincinnati Ballet once more in a tour de force collaboration with BalletMet Columbus. Choreographed after the Petipa/Ivanov original by Artistic Director & CEO Victoria Morgan, Devon Carney and Gerard Charles, Swan Lake combines two of Ohio’s great ballet houses for an awe-inspiring presentation of balletic precision and dramatic expression. Swan Lake will be performed in Columbus, OH the weekend of October 18-20, and October 25-27 in Cincinnati. The soaring, provocative score, composed by the legendary Tchaikovsky, is brought to life at the Aronoff Center for the Arts by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

Oh My Goodness! Oh My Goodness! The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati opens its 89th MainStage season with a production of “Annie JR.” at the Taft Theatre October 18-20 & 26, 2013.  One of the world’s best-loved musicals features little orphan Annie who wins over everyone’s hearts.  She is determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan.

My children and I have always enjoyed going to performances at the Cincinnati Ballet. The Procter & Gamble Hall at the Aronoff Center is a gorgeous facility in downtown Cincinnati. The performances are always beautiful so we want you to enjoy the experience.

Cincinnati Ballet pulls from its own treasure chest of ballet and storybook classics to bring yofavorites featuring the CBII Company that are sure to make you laugh, smile and get you moving. At under an hour Ballet Toybox is a great way to introduce children to the joy of dance and experience the arts with the whole family.
